Displaying Your Wedding Photographs

After your wedding, you will have hundreds of photographs to help you remember your special day. While it is great to have so many images to enjoy, it can be overwhelming to figure out what to do with all of them. These are some ideas for terrific ways to display your wedding photos.

One excellent way to display pictures is by creating groups. Rather than scattering a picture here and a picture there, find several pictures that make a cohesive grouping. For instance, you could have one grouping that concentrates on black and white images of the bride and groom. To emphasize a unified theme, display the pictures together on one wall in matching frames. Usually a very simple frame, like a plain black style, is the best way to tie together a collection of images, as well as to let the pictures really stand out.

Another grouping would be close up shots highlighting the special details of the wedding. I have seen some great wedding pictures showing the details on the wedding cake, the bridal jewelry, and the design of the bridal gown. Group them together in one frame with multiple openings for a stylish display.

There will always be a couple of photographs that are your very favorites. Put those very special pictures in a place where you will see and enjoy them every day. Many brides like to keep a small wedding photo on their bedside table or vanity. For a picture in an intimate location, like your bedroom, it would be nice to choose a more feminine frame. A beautiful look would be one of those fancy little frames you see with crystals or faux pearls. Pick the finish that coordinates with your bridal jewelry to tie the frame into the picture inside it.

A very elegant display can be created by arranging photographs on decorative ledges. The ledges are available in a variety of sizes, finishes, and styles. They work equally well in traditional or modern homes. Choose a few of your wedding photos to set along the ledge. For the best effect, vary the size of the images.

It can be nice to bring a wedding photo to put in your office. Since it is a place of business, it would not be appropriate to dedicate an entire wall to your personal pictures. A better way to share lots of your wedding pictures with your co-workers is to get a digital frame. You can load hundreds of pictures into it, and set it to change the image displayed on a regular basis. That way you can have all the pictures you want in one small space.

Your wedding photos will be a daily reminder of your magical day. Every time you see them, it will make you smile. Take the time to create carefully though out displays to showcase them to their best advantage. Every time you see your beautiful pictures, you will be glad that you did.
