Three Issues to Consider When Choosing the Lingerie For Your Wedding Lingerie Shoot

The Wedding Lingerie shoot has become a new tradition in western wedding days. However choosing the right lingerie can make a huge difference between a comfortable lingerie shoot, or one that is not so comfortable.

One of the biggest things you must consider once you have decided that you want to do a wedding lingerie photo shoot is to choose a photographer that you will be comfortable being with, in what you want to wear. Choosing the right lingerie for this shoot is absolutely paramount because the quality of the photos you get will be dependent on how comfortable you feel. For most people this is the first time that you will be exposed in a way that only your partner has probably seen and this can be an issue for some people.

First Item to Consider - Climate

When you are planning your photo shoot, you need to ensure that the lingerie you choose is suitable for your climate. For example if you are in a tropical climate like in Townsville then the type of lingerie that you choose should be a lighter fabric, it should be comfortable to wear in the heat if you are doing outdoor shots and it shouldn't make you sweat or feel uncomfortable. At the same time if you were doing your photo shoot during winter in a colder climate like Melbourne or Hobart then the lingerie you wear in an outdoor photo should be of a heavier fabric.

You may even consider in a colder climate to wear a corset, wedding lingerie mini skirt and a fur lined robe. If you dare, you might try wearing a demi cup bra with white satin garter belt and a white full length fur lined robe.

Second Item to Consider - Location

A wedding lingerie photo shoot is about you showing your sexy side. It is not about creating pornographic images. The traditional wedding lingerie photo shoot is about art and the beauty, so when you choose your location ensure that you are going to have privacy so that you will feel comfortable in doing the photos.

The other thing to consider with location is the style of lingerie you are going to wear. If the location is in a studio then the photos can be as revealing or exposed as you feel comfortable with however in outdoor shoots you will need to consider the local laws. In some cities and even countries, exposing of certain parts of the body may attract the attention of the local law enforcement bodies.

Wedding lingerie is often more exposing than the traditional swim suits and there is often a fine line as to what is acceptable. Demi cup bras are in huge demand at in western cultures however this type of item does reveal the breasts and this may not be suitable for some cultures. One way around this is to use pasties over nipples to ensure that you are not exposing yourself.

Third Item to Consider - How Many Pieces

Generally most brides to be have between 1 and 3 different pieces of lingerie that they will have their photos in. The three most common pieces we have seen people use are -

1. A white demi cup bra, g-string and garter belt with white stockings and gloves and high heeled shoes and a veil
2. Corset and G-String with veil
3. Wedding G-string with cuffs, garter, white stockings and high healed shoes.

The first item I mentioned could also be accessorised with jewellery and pasties for the demi-cup bra. Some ladies don't feel comfortable wearing a g-string especially the plus-size ladies, so an alternative to the g-string is the white lace mini skirt or a pearl lace panty which is similar to a standard panty. I recommend the white lace mini skirt for anyone who feels uncomfortable wearing a g-string in front of anyone that is not your betrothed. The white lace mini skirt could also be substituted in the third piece.

The last set of items are a little daring as they require you to cross your arms across the breasts so that they are not showing whilst being cuffed. An alternative way of doing this photo shoot is to wear a robe so that your breasts are covered. This will allow you to show the garter on your leg whilst not exposing your breasts.

The bottom line with choosing the lingerie for your wedding day lingerie photo shoot is to wear lingerie you will feel comfortable in, in front of the photographer. I always recommend that you take along a chaperone for the shoot for your own protection and comfort. Enjoy the shoot as these photos will be part of your memorable day for your entire marriage.
