Black and White Wedding Invitations - Where Style Meets Tradition

If you just got engaged and are now starting on the long path of planning the wedding then a black and white wedding invitation is a great way to show off the elegance of your wedding. But don't think for one moment that your invite will be boring just because you are going with a traditional white wedding. Now days there are dozens of different designs and styles of invitations to choose from in the black and white realm so don't be afraid to add a twist to a classic invite and make it uniquely yours.

Here is a list of the different styles you can choose from as well as an example of each so you can make the best decision for your special day.

Traditional - There is nothing wrong with sticking with the classic beauty of simple black and white invitation. A traditional style will have clean sharp lines and elegantly styled lettering.

Tea Length - A tea length wedding invitation allows for slight twist on the traditional by allowing for a long narrow look and feel but offers the same clean lines and elegant lettering you would expect to see on the traditional style.

Vintage Style - A vintage wedding invitation incorporates a little vintage flair by adding a vintage pattern as a border or background in order to give you a unique style and design.

Photo - Just because you went black and white doesn't mean you have to rule out the use of photos on your invitations. Adding a photo to an already elegant design can let you put a little more of your own style into the invitation. A fun idea that many brides do is they have their photo in black and white but add just a touch of color by putting their names or wedding date in color to make it really pop.

Folded - A folded design is not necessarily a style but has to do with the invitations overall size. Unlike a single sided invite a folded invite has 2 panels that fold in to create a perfect square. A folded style is a great choice for anyone that is looking to additional room for additional pictures.

So don't be scared to mix it up a little no matter which style and design you go with you will always turn heads with its timeless beauty and elegance and is the perfect way to announce your special day.
