Great Ways to Spice Up a Wedding Reception

Wedding receptions must be carefully planned and spiced up according to your personality and temperament. People go overboard with the reception they have for their weddings and rightly so, since weddings and receptions are the single most important days in your life. Are you looking for help in personalizing your wedding reception? Read on.

Hire Dancers and Singers

In order to make your reception great, we recommend hiring a few artistes depending on your budget to make your guests feel entertained throughout. If you don't fancy singing and dancing, hire comedians, speakers, emcees and performers to regale your invitees.

Gourmet Wining and Dining

If guests will remember your reception, it would most likely be for the food and drinks you provide them. Make sure you serve gourmet food with different culinary dishes and delicacies in a platter. There must be separate dishes for veggies and meat-eaters in your reception.

Don't forget specialty drinks, ice creams and mouthwatering desserts. You also ought to have a coffee bar with regular (and unlimited supplies of coffee) doing the rounds throughout the wedding.

Hire a Great Photo Booth

After all the effort you make to have a good wedding reception, wouldn't you want every moment captured for all its glory? Hire a professional photo booth and let them snap your guests, you with your partner, and the proceedings that go by. It would be a great idea for you to send a few pictures around to all your guests so that they preserve them as memoirs.

If you want to add spunk to the photos of the reception, get props around. False mustaches, huge wigs, dental braces, and many other funny props can help your photos look funny. Your guests would most probably love it, and you can send them a few hilarious copies as souvenirs later.

Guest books that are personalized

Do not opt for the tried and tested guest books where guests simply come and sign and leave. Ask your photo booth assistant to capture their photos and have them write a message next to their picture. Or you could ask your guests to sign on colored rocks as a part of your theme wedding.

You also ask them to pen down their thoughts about the wedding and the proceedings. Guest books would be a wonderful memorabilia for you with respect to who came to the wedding, what they wore, and what they blessed you with.
